     Mësuesi  zëvendësues  i historisë, Pat Soltano shtrohet në një spital mendor për tetë muaj sepse ka rrahur për vdekje burrin që ka gjetur me gruan e vet. Ai kthehet tek shtëpia e prindërve për të rikuperuar  formën e vet dhe për t’u bashkuar me gruan, Nikkin. Pat ka një urdhër ndalimi dhe nuk mund t’i afrohet Nikkit  më shumë se 500 metra.

     Ndërkohë Pat njihet me Tiffany-n e cila pranon t’ia jap letrat e tij Nikkit nqs ai do të kërcente me të në një konkurs kërcimi. Ajo e ka si një tip terapie kërcimin pasi burri i saj ka pak kohë që ka vdekur në një aksident tragjik. Pat dhe Tiffany ndahen mirë në konkurs dhe Pat i shpreh dashurinë e vet Tiffanisë.
